Bio

McDowell, played collegiately at Louisiana (ULL), Kilgore College, Central Arkansas, Montana, and McNeese, developing into a dual-threat quarterback over the course of his career. In 2023 at Montana Grizzlies, he earned Big Sky Conference Newcomer of the Year honors while leading the team to an 11–1 record as a starter and a berth in the FCS National Championship game. He completed 160 of 274 passes for 2,026 yards and 13 touchdowns while rushing for 753 yards, setting a modern program record for single-season rushing by a quarterback since 1991.

Across his career, McDowell showed consistent production as both a passer and runner, including a season at Kilgore College in 2021 with 671 passing yards and four touchdowns, along with 373 rushing yards and five scores. He also spent time at Central Arkansas in 2022 and began his career at Louisiana before continuing his journey through multiple stops, including McNeese, where he further added to his collegiate experience.
