May, suited up for three games for the Steamwheelers prior to the trade, playing in one game, going one-for-one in the passing department for seven yards, with three rushing attempts for 13 yards, all coming against the Oilers at the BOK Center during Tulsa's franchise home opener on April 15. 

"May is a great addition to the quarterback position," said head coach Marvin Jones. "He is a very confident and mobile player who is able to make any type of throw on the field. He is a great athlete who brings the IFL experience needed at the QB position, he will be fun to watch."

During the 2021-22 season in the CIF, the Biloxi, Mississippi native played for the Wyoming Mustangs for three games, recording 29 completions on 43 attempts (67.4%) for 181 yards and four passing touchdowns, while producing one rushing score. May would finish the season in the NAL with the Jacksonville Sharks, putting up 85 passing yards and two touchdowns. 

In 2021 with the Blizzard, the new Oilers QB completed 54 of 88 passes (61.4%) for 489 passing yards, and 16 touchdowns through the air, while carrying the ball on the ground 38 times for 122 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.

Playing his college ball at Alabama A&M, the former Bulldog in 2017 produced 528 total yards and five total touchdowns.
