Ziah a CIF standout, reunites with head coach Marvin Jones after spending the past two seasons with the Omaha Beef. The former CIF defensive end, alongside current Oilers teammates Tyler Jones and Kelvin Jenkins, was a part of the 2021 VI Championship-winning team. During his Beef career, the 6'2, 232 lbs. champion got after the quarterback, tallying 83 tackles, 15.5 sacks, 29 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and recovery, and five pass breakups. The Lawrenceville, Georgia native earned CIF Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021. With 53 tackles, 11.5 sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and recovery, and four pass breakups.
The former CIF award-winner displayed his talents at Guilford College. Playing three years at Guilford, he earned numerous awards, including a two-time First Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference, and twice earned his name on the D3football.com Team of the Week list. In 30 games, he tallied 121 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, 17.5 sacks, two pass deflections, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
The brand-new Oiler would transfer to Livingstone College after his time with Guilford, playing one year. In 10 games with the Blue Bears, he tallied 49 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, nine and a half sacks, three pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.
