Biography

Dye most recently came from Liga de Football Americano de México (FAM). Before his time in Mexico, Dye played one season at Valdosta State, suiting up in eight games with the Blazers and recording 18 tackles, one interception, and seven pass deflections.

Prior to his time at Valdosta State, the former Blazer played four seasons at UTSA. The 5'10, 180 lbs. defensive back totaled 35 tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass deflection, and one fumble recovery in 28 games.

During high school, the Jacksonville, Florida native was a standout dual-athlete as a three-time regional qualifier in track and field, setting school records in the 100-meter dash. The brand-new Oiler played both sides of the ball on the football field as a wide receiver and defensive back. The former Panther caught 19 touchdowns in his final two seasons while earning second-team All-Class 5A, All-First Coast (Florida Times-Union), first-team all-district, and All-North Atlantic Conference selection. As a senior, he caught 25 passes for 574 yards and eight touchdowns and picked up three interceptions. The Ridgeview High School athlete was a leader on and off the field as a captain and a member of the honor roll.
