Espinoza, played five games for Billings during the 2022-23 season, with 49 completions on 95 passing attempts (51.6%) with 411 yards, and nine passing touchdowns. The former Outlaw rushed 30 times for 87 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.Â
"Espinoza is a smart quarterback with years of indoor experience," said head coach Jones. "He has a big arm, and as a coach, he is the type of QB you would like to have on your team."
The CIF product earned the Champions Indoor Football league Offensive Player of the Week award for his performance in Billings' 66-27 win over Topeka on March 20, 2023, going 13 of 17 through the air for 133 yards, accounting for four total touchdowns.Â
The versatile offensive leader played six games in the IFL for Bay Area in 2022, going 46 for 90 (51%), with 511 passing yards and six touchdowns, adding 99 yards on the ground with two more touchdowns in 21 rush attempts. In 2021 the former Bay Area Panther spent time with the Iowa Barnstormers for two games, passing for 45 yards and one touchdown.Â
